Tier 2 help for tax

Hello sir, I am on skilled work visa from more than 1 year My questions are - Can i open ISA account for savings and investments ? Can i do investment in stocks or shares (no sale) only invest? Can i do trading in forex or CFD ? I have to inform HMRC if i get gain less then 6000 on my capital and it will effect my visa (tier 2 skilled worker) ?
