I am selling a BTL in my sole name. It was purchased in 1999 jointly with a girlfriend and was our PPR. We split in 2001 and she transferred equity to me while it was still our PPR . I continued to live in the property but let it out from 2014. Does the transfer of equity affect my capital gain please? Thank you.

Hi Emjay,
Yes. you will need to adjust the purchase price to show your 50% at the time actually bought and then the other 50% value at the time your ex partner transferred it to you.
Thank you.
