I have an investment fund in joint names with my wife. We are thinking of selling this fund which will result in a profit of around £ 10k. Would it be correct to allocate the profit 50/50 between my wife and me being £ 5k each and therefore below the threshold?

If my wife and I have a joint named fixed oversea account, How can we report tax return? 50/50% or one of account holder report?

Hi,

The overseas income will be declared 50:50 on a Self Assessment Tax Return, by both of you.

Thank you.
