Hello I sold a residential property in June 2024 and paid the CGT as required within 60 days. I'm in the process of completing my online self assessment form for 2023 to 2024 as I have other investments. I'm wondering if I still need to declare the sale of my property again and payment of CGT on my self assessment form for 2023 to 2024 tax year. Thank you .

Hi,
You declare the CGT in the tax year in which you receive the gain. In this case this would be 2024/2025 tax year.
Thank you.
