CGT on shares

On 08/08/2024 I sent a Real Time Transaction return for CGT on shares which I sold. I received a Submission Reference from HMRC and the email says “ you’ll normally receive a response within 15 days” However I’ve not had a response in over 3 months - is this normal?

You should have received as response by now.  Please contact our helpline on 0300 200 3300 or our webchat facility at Contact HMRC.  My colleagues should be able to provide you with your payment reference number starting with 'X'.  You can report and pay your capital gains by following the guidance on how to pay at Report and pay your Capital Gains Tax
