I would like to know how to work out my CGT liability on sale of Funds held in an investment portfolio in Canada. I lived overseas including Canada for 24 years, returning to the UK in a rush in 2020, so did not have time to sell assets prior to repatriation. Is my liability on capital gains from asset valuation on the date I repatriated? Or is it some other date? Thanks.

Hi petereld Eldridge,
It is from the date you initially purchased the asset.
Thank you.
