I want to enquire how much capital gains tax I have to pay on the transfer of equity. I have added my daughter to the deeds of my second property as a gift which I was the sole owner of; the property was a rental property; my question is do I pay half of the capital gains tax as my daughter is added to the deeds as joint tenants with me or do I pay on the full amount as though I gave her the full property?

Hi,

It will be 50% as you are now joint tennants.

If the property is still rented out, she will now need to declare 50% of the rental income/expenses .

Thank you.
