Hi I've just received a share dividend in excess of £500. I may also receive additional share dividends this tax year. Should I declare this one now, or should it be one declaration to cover total dividends at the end of the tax year? Can you explain the process for declaring dividends? This will be between £500-1000 over the year and has only become a concern since I've seen the threshold for declaring has decreased for this tax year. Thanks Jemma

Hi,
It should be one declaration to confirm total dividends received at the end of the tax year.
Please see the following guidance:
Tax on dividends
Thank you.
