I have had to change my business from a wedding venue to an FHL as I am selling on the open market. I was told by a “tax advisor CTA” that if I do not sell within 3 years, I would not qualify for BADR and pay 28% CGT? Is this true

Hi J T,
Please refer to guidance here which gives the time limits for claiming BADR

Thank you.

If I change my business from a wedding venue to a furnished holiday let will I have to pay 28% CGT if I sell after 3 years? Does a furnished holiday let count as a business for CGT purposes?
