I'm looking to transfer shares to an ISA share dealing account, will I have to pay CGT? As far as I am aware I need to sell the shares in the current share dealing account, then transfer the money to the ISA account then rebuy the shares. I'v seen conflicting information regarding this, anyone able to help clarify?

Hi G.Hux,
You will need to dispose of your shares, place the money into the stocks and shares ISA and buy the shares back, up to a maximum of £20000.
Thank you.
