My son inherited a third share of a house from his grandfather, the house in turn was let out for some years. My son never lived in the house he inherited, but it was his only house. Can he claim residents relief or lettings relief if the house is now sold? Thank you Ben

Hi Benson,
No, Residence Relief is only applicable if you have lived in the property and Lettings Relief is no longer due (unless you live in it at the same time as letting)
Thank you.
