Where a husband and wife sell a jointly owned second home. Can the cgt be made by the most tax efficient partner. Is there any need to declare which partner will pay cgt prior to sale.

Hi,
As jointly owned, it must be split 50/50 unless a declaration of trust and form17 is submitted advising of a new split prior to the sale.
