I own a property that I would like to gift to my son. I last resided in the house in 2007. My son is still resident there and it is his only home. If I gift it to him am I liable for capital gains tax?

Hi,
Yes, as this is seen as a disposal as it is not your main residence. You can claim Private Residence Relief for the period you lived in it:
Capital Gains Tax: what you pay it on, rates and allowances
Thank you
