Hi, I have tried to search for this so apologies if this has already been covered. My partner and I live together with our 2 children but we are not married or in a civil partnership. If I were to transfer shares to my partner, would I be liable for CGT? Thanks :)

Hi Adam Payne,
Yes, there would potentially be a capital gain, as only married couples and civil partners are allowed to transfer assets without capital gains liability, unless the shares are transfer to charity.
In all other situations, capital gains tax may be payable.
Please have a look here:
Tax when you sell shares
To help you work out if there is a gain.
Thank you.
