My young adult has just received a letter saying she may be liable for Capital Gains Tax on the sale of a property sold in 2022. She was a minor at the time and I had registered her at that address for her bank details. Is this a known scam or simply a clerical error?

Hi Audun,
Being a minor does not exempt them from Capital Gains Tax so you should still reply to the letter received.
Thank you.
