Capitals Gain Tax on Gift received from Overseas

Hi, I am a UK tax resident, but not a citizen. My brother who is in Saudi (Indian Citizen) wants to gift me £30K. Do I need to report that to HMRC and is there any tax liability on the gift money?

There are no Income Tax implications on the receipt of a cash gift unless the cash gift generates interest or dividends.
These would then potentially be subject to tax.
