Foreign Tax Credit Relief

I have just completed my SA and added info relating to our french holiday home sale along with the amount of CGT already paid in France. However it says I am not entitled to FTCR and must pay CGT of over 6k - why? Ive already paid over 10k in France?

Hi,
You will need to declare the gain at the capital gains section in order for this to appear in the calculation so that the foreign tax credit relief can be given this will be restricted to the amount of UK tax due.
