Hi I plan to buy a second home to use as a holiday home for 5 years or so until I retire. The plan then is to move into this home permanently and sell my main home. Would I be subject to CGT on my main home in this case? Thank you

Hi
You can work out if you need to pay Captial Gains Tax when you sell (or 'dispose of') your home and find out if you are eligible for Private Residence Relief using the following guidance: Tax when you sell your home
