Hi, I collect coins and over the years buy them and sell them as I see fit if they no longer are something I am collecting or I want to start a different collection. All the coins I collect are either silver britannias or gold sovereigns and half sovereigns. With all the fuss about ebay and reporting recently its totally confused me.. If I sell some of my coins on for example ebay then I always thought they were CGT free which means there is no tax to pay if they sold for more than I bought them for. Is this still the case or is there now some new form I will need to fill in which will tax me income tax on any cgt free profits I may have made? Thanks and a little confused.
