Hi, We bought our 1st property in oct 2020 and then we wanted to sell before buying the second one but were unable to so we got our second property in April 2022 but we didn't move in until Jan 2023 as we had to renovate the bathroom and make a few changes to the house. Would the 8 moths between the time we purchased the second property and the time we moved into the second property be valid for PRR when we come to sell the the second home? We are now selling the 1st property with a possible completion date of July 2024. Would we have to pay tax on 8 months period between the purchase of the 2nd property and moving into the 2nd property even though the house was being renovated during this period. So 8 months of PRR wont apply to the 1st home? or the 2nd home at the same time even during the renovation phase?
