Hi, I have two houses, both Residential. Property 'A', and property 'B'. I'm selling property 'A', and for the relief of Capital Gain Tax I nominated property A as Main Residence with HMRC. I received a confirmation letter stating "I can acknowledge receipt of your election under TCGA 1992 S222 (5) to have the address of your main home shown as: property A." I'm selling property A and buying property C, which will be my main residence, but I keep property B. According to SDLT calculator I will not have to pay stamp duty as I am replacing main residence, and property 'C' cost below £250k, but is this 100% true? Thank you.
