Rental Set Up Costs re CGT

We have now sold our residential rental property and looking into the CGT aspects. When we purchased the property we had initial set up costs to provide furnished accommodation. Can these costs be offset against CGT on sale of the property?

No, these would have been claimed within the rental income.

Thank you, I thought they would be but it is normally repair and maintenance that go on the taxable income and these are initial outright costs. But it was worth a question.
