Can you confirm the £25 and 8pm bench mark for meal allowance. I think I have understood the out for 5 or 10 hours amount correct, I'm allowed £5 or £10 meal allowance and if it goes past 8pm I can add another £10 to it, so would now be £15 or £20. But this one is confusing me, if I'm out for 15 hours I get £25, is that £15 for 15 hours plus £10 for going past 8pm , or am I allowed £25 for 15 hours regardless of whether it goes past 8pm or not.

Hi, not a HMRC Admin but it is up to your employer how much they are willing to pay. The scale rates just specify how much your employer can reimburse without you being liable to tax on the payment. Your employer can pay more or less than this and if they pay more they can choose to pay it gross to cover any tax or NIC you are liable for. Or they can agree a bespoke scale rate with HMRC.
