When I am on a multi-day business trip to another city in the UK as a director of LTD company, I need to buy food. If I want to include meal recepits in my expenses, what criteria shoud I follow to determine whether the meal cost is reasonable?

Hi Lucy1234,
You can find guidance on claiming subsistence expenses here:
BIM37670 - Wholly and exclusively: duality of, or non-trade, purpose: non-travel topics: accommodation and subsistence: 'itinerant' trades
Thank you.

Thank you, but I need some more details. I want to know exactly what is the threshold for the amount paid for meal to be resonable.

You can see guidance here:

EIM05231 - Employment income: scale rate expenses: subsistence expenses: table of benchmark scale rates

Thank you.
