Good evening, I work for a removal company, our client has imported her personal goods from Italy to the UK, she did apply for TOR but this one got approved only the other day. Import was made via CDS through our agent on the 1st of August. I am about to let them send via post the C285 form to claim taxes and duties back (they paid HMRC directly) now that TOR has been approved, but it will not let me add that as an attachment, should we declare the reference number at some point in the C285 form? Also where it says "Application is made for repayment or remission of import duty/ADD/excise on the following grounds:" what should we select? . While "basis of claim" should I just let them put Miscellaneous and then explain there TOR late approval as reason? Lastly, on the TOR approval it states valid from 30th of August 2024 to 30th of August 2025, can that be an issue for them? Many thanks

Hi Letizia - Traslo,
Any additional information that you  want to add on the repayment claim this can be done by adding a cover letter with C285 and supporting documents.
Thank you.
