I make audio equipment for DJs and need to send units to the EU for journalists to review and test. I have done this a few times and always end up having to manually intervena and get charged incorrectly by wither UPS or DHL. What is the correct process for shipping a unit to a reviewer for a period and then getting it back. Surely there i s a method for this that DHL and UPS can understand. Any help gratefully accepted. Hi ,

You can look into the correct process of claiming returned goods relief by post.

Ask the sender to write ‘Returned goods — relief claimed’ clearly on the package and its accompanying import declaration.

The declaration must include a complete and accurate description of the goods, their quantity and value.

If you’re registered for VAT, make sure your VAT number is quoted on the declaration (CN 22 or CN23).

Please see below link for more information:

Pay less import duty and VAT when re-importing goods to the UK   .

Thank you .
