Hello! If we ship goods to EU countries from the UK under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) delivery terms, can we reclaim the VAT for imports to Italy, for example? Our Italian customer will sell these goods to their clients and will pay VAT on those sales. Thank you!

You can only claim UK import VAT on your UK VAT return. You would need to be VAT registered in Italy to reclaim Italian import VAT. You should check with your agent / courier who is the importer of record . If it is your VAT registered customer them they may be able to claim.

Hi
You need to check this with Italian tax authority as this is their remit to advise if VAT can be claimed.
If you are looking to zero rate VAT on exports, please check below guidance.
VAT on goods exported from the UK (VAT Notice 703)
