Hi All, I have already declared goods out of the UK to US and 1 week later we are returning these in merchandise in baggage, do I need to do another declaration or is the one out sufficient?

Yes a customs declaration is required either to import or export goods to or from any country. How that declaration is made depends on several factors including the method of transport or value. Have a look at this guide https://www.gov.uk/guidance/bringing-commercial-goods-into-great-britainin-your-baggage As you have previously exported the items from the UK you will need proof of that export so you don’t incur any customs duty. The reason is that once goods have left the UK they lose their duty paid UK status.

Hi,
You can make a simple online declaration using the merchandise in baggage online service to declare commercial goods in accompanied baggage or small vehicles:
Bringing commercial goods into Great Britain in your baggage
You cannot make a simple online declaration if your goods are being put into or taken out of a customs special procedure, or if you intend to claim a relief for these goods.
If you looking to claim returned goods relief, please see below guidance:
How to claim
Thank you.
