Gifting a property to my daughter

Hi I have gifted a property to my daughter, but registering it with Land Registry has taken some time. What is the effective date of transfer for tax purposes (both CGT and Income), and how do I evidence this? Thanks

The effective date of ownership is the date of exchange of contracts when the buyer is committed to buying the property.
