Hello, last year I finally started to make a profit on my European property investment, and I've been bringing back 2,000 euros at a time from my European bank to my English bank. Declared in both countries, of course. The fee for each transfer is about ten euros. Can I claim this fee, even though the amount is quite small? Since I started doing it, its been about 100 euros, which is starting to mount up. I'd be grateful for any information about this.

Hi,

The movement of monies from abroad to the UK is of your own choice, not pertinent to the income from property business you operate or a necessary expense so it cannot be claimed.

Thank you.
