I own a property with my daughter as Joint tenants, not tenants in common. According to HMRC manual PIM1030, joint owners can divide rental income in unequal amounts as long as they are not married. Therefore, if I take 100% of the rental income and my daughter 0%, and I do the self-assessment showing the 100% of rental income, is this okay?

Hi Zara,
Thank you for your question.
I can confirm that your proposal is okay if this is the split agreed by both of you.
Thank you.
