Hello, I would be grateful for some help completing box 45 of SA105 of my tax return. I live abroad in Australia and my only income (aside from negligible bank interest) is from my property in London. In my self-assessment for tax year 2021-2022, my accountant completed my return on SA105: - in box 40, taxable profit = GBP 8,916 - in box 44, residential property finance costs = GBP 5,136 - in box 45, unused residential property finance costs brought forward = GBP 5,137. As my profit fell within the personal allowance, I did not pay any income tax. This year, I am doing my tax return myself. For the SA105: - in box 40, taxable profit = GBP 11,625 - in box 44, residential property finance costs = GBP 4,749 What should I insert into box 45? Is it GBP 5,136 (box 44 from 2020/2021 tax year) + GBP 5,137 (box 45 from 2020/2021 tax year) so GBP 10,273?
