Claim tax credit for interest on BTL mortgage for previous years?

I haven't taken advantage of claiming tax credit for interest on BTL mortgages over the previous few tax years (making an entry in the 'Residential Property Finance Costs' box on the Property page of the Self-Assessment form). Is there any way to go about claiming the tax credits for previous years?
