Hi I'm looking for some advice here... I have applied for NRL1 and gotten approved. My question is what does my tenants have to do now? Do they also have to apply for a NRL scheme in-order to live in the house? and fill out an NRLY? My rent income and total annual income is way below my Tax-Free allowance, so there is no tax to pay and I will be doing a Self Assessment to pay any taxes. So my tenants will not be deducting any payments from my rent. So is there any legal forms or papers they need to fill out? Thank you.

Hi,

No, the tenant should just be made aware that there is no need for any tax to be deducted from the rent. You should receive a document confirming you have been successful with the non resident landlord application to verify this.

Thank you.
