Tax on income from caravan sale

Hello, can anyone tell me if my caravan sale is taxable income? The purchase of the caravan was treated as a 'capital allowance' and I was told there would therefore be no relief available on the sale. To give an idea, I purchased it for 40k and sold it for £10k. Thank you
