Hi, I am currently a UK resident living in the UK while earning income from my property in HK. According to the double taxation agreement between the two governments, which government among the two shall I settle the tax with?

Hi,

If you are in receipt of foreign income, including income from property, then this would form part of your worldwide income and should be declared on a UK Self Assessment tax return.

If you also pay tax on the income in the foreign country then you may be entitled to claim Foreign Tax Credit Reliief. Please refer to the following link for further guidance:

Tax on foreign income

Thank you.
