Hi, I can't afford to live in my own flat anymore so I'm renting it out and variously renting rooms, small studios, staying with friends and house sitting. But it seems it's not worth it after I've paid tax on the rent I get for my flat. Can I offset any of the rent I pay for the rooms/studios I live in or the bills I pay while I'm house sitting or living with friends?

Hi,

You cannot offset the rent and, or, bills you pay while you are house sitting or living with friends.

Thank you.
