My employer pays for medical insurance but this does not inpact my net pay as the employer pays for this. Do i need to include this on my self assessment? I do pay for other benefits in kind including critical illness and life assurance which does impact net pay, do i need to include these on my self assessment? Would these all need to be included under ‘Private medical and dental insurance’ if they do need to be included?

Hi ,

You should check with your employer as this benefit may be that you pay this part of your benefits through payroll.

You do not need to report payrolled benefits.

If you do not pay expenses and benefits through payroll, then a P11d is required and the details declared on your tax return.

See   (: Expenses and benefits for employers  ).

Thank you .
