When does business cease?

I owned a single rental property whose final tenants were evicted The eviction took place in January 2023 and I spent £1500 on a house clearance to empty the house to clear the rubbish left by the tenant. Is this an allowable expense as it took place after the eviction but before the property was sold

The costs of bringing the property back up to standard are allowable if they were incurred 'wholly and exclusively' for the property business: PIM2120.
