If I was to do a deed of assignment to transfer beneficial interest to my husband at 90% based on the following example, would it be subject to stamp duty as under the £250,000 threshold. Outstanding mortgage on BTL £255k would mean a transfer of £229,500 - am I correct in thinking this transfer of beneficial interest therefore would not result in stamp duty charges? Thanks
