I have a buy-to-let property with a repayment mortgage. I have not included any of the mortgage repayments within my expenses. There is an initial product fee and monthly interest amounts. Do I add the full amount of these into box 44 on the self-assessment? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes, you should enter the relevant total in Box 44 of the SA105. You can see guidance here:

UK property notes (2022)

Thank you.

So for clarity in box 44 the total amount of finance costs of interest on the mortgage should be entered not 20%?
