Rental Income

For the this tax year, it is from 6-Apr-2022 to 5 Apr 2023. Do I need to submit the prorata amount of the income and expense for the incomplete month (1-Apr to 5 Apr 2023)? Since my rental income is starting at somewhere in Dec 2023.

Thanks for your question.

If your rental income is starting in December 2023 then you will need to declare rental profits and
expenses for the period December 2023 to 5 April 2024.

If any income received was for the period 1 – 5 April you should also notify us of this.
