Hi, I am trying to fill out my self assessment form for tax year 6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023. I have an amount listed in my PAYE Tax code notice for 6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023 in the section ‘Estimated tax you owe (this year)’. Do I need to include this in either of the self assessment questions: Underpaid tax included in PAYE coding (Page 1 of 2) or Underpaid tax included in PAYE coding (Page 2 of 2), or anywhere else on the self assessment? The underpaid tax included in PAYE coding (Page 2 of 2) question mentions in the notes to look for a section that says ‘our estimate of the underpayment for the earlier part of the year’ but mine says 'Estimated tax you owe (this year)’, so I am a little confused. Thanks

Hi ABN,
If the estimate is an in year adjustement then it would be nil at that section as not an estimate from an earlier tax year.
Thank you.
