Form 17 copies or originals supporting documentation

Hi Could you please advise if a photocopy of a Declaration of Trust is sufficient supporting documentation, or do we need to provide an original or certified copy? Is the paperwork retained by HMRC or would it be returned in the post? Thank you for your help.

A photocopy is sufficient, as long as it is clear and legible.
We will usually retain our own scanned version of the document.
Please store the original document safely so that it can be referred to again in the future if necessary.
