We were checking the HMRC Self Assessment tax account for rental income for the tax year ending Apr 2023. Tax and subtotal were both 1603 but after "Less other adjustments" of 1603. The total tax due was 0. Checking the details for "other adjustments" it states: Description: Balancing Payment Reason: Included in tax code for tax year ending 05 Apr 2025 Amount: 1603 Did we fill in anything incorrectly? What does the reason actually mean? A deferral? We originally thought that we will need to submit payment 1603 before 31 Jan 2024. Is that still the case?
