We're in England. My partner is going to buy a house and I am going to gift her some cash towards her deposit. The house will be in her name and we'll both live there. I currently own an apartment which I'll rent out. I will transfer her monthly cash amounts around £1800 as a contribution towards house expenses such as bills and mortgage payments. Will she'll need to declare this as income to HMRC?
