The HMRC App is a really useful tool for lots of things, however, I have found it extremely difficult to navigate to see the details of my current professional subscriptions based on which my Tax Code is calculated! The app/website would allow you to see the total figure but no breakdown. You can create a form to add, remove or update an expense but unless this is written somewhere you wouldn’t know what’s on file and if it remains true and accurate. It would be extremely helpful if this functionality is allowed from within the app. Most professional subscriptions change over time and it is imperative that these changes are accurately reflected in the tax relief package.
