The VAT return was submitted for MS Dynamics, but due to an error the figures were not collected, and the VAT return was submitted with zero values - which I can now see on the HMRC gateway login. I cannot now submit the return with the values, as the HMRC obligations have been fulfilled - this seems to be coming from HMRC, and Microsoft do not think it can be changed their end - is there a way to get the month reopened with HMRC so that the correct return complete with values can be submitted?

Hi,

Unfortunately we cannot reopen a return which has already been submitted. You would need to amend this as an error correction. You can see guidance here:

AS suggested, I entered the VAT return as a correction, but that was two months ago, I can see no record on my VAT account and have heard nothing - it was definately submitted correctly and have a submission receipt
