Financial Year Re-alignment

Good Morning We want to re-align our financial year to start April 2024 and have our VAT quarters go April-June, July-Sept etc. Currently as of 02/01/2024, our VAT quarter spans November-January, so our final submission for the financial year will be a short one, February - March. When is the right time to amend our VAT quarter start dates in our TAX portal? Do we need to do this before we submit our last 3 month return in order to get the next short return created by HMRC for February-March?
