Tax exemption on gifts or civil partnership

I am looking for a possibility of Tax relief option as i have seen online that there is an exemption of tax on the money that is sent to an elder person either by regular payments for accounting their living costs. I want to know if this something that is applicable for a person living and earning in UK and sending money to their parents overseas.
